Our hurricane information web site is unique in that we don't just report where a hurricane or
tropical storm is right now, but how far it is from you and its estimated time of arrival!
Visitors can enter their zipcode which in turn is converted to a latitude and longitude, and then stored as a cookie in their browser. On subsequent visits they will be presented with the current advisories, computer tracking maps, and National Hurricane Center information, but we add the five day forecast track and intensity, distance and ETA information relative to their location! We are the only web site that offers this! During hurricane season we receive visits from the East Coast and Gulf Coast of the United States, Caribbean Nations, and Mexico. Not only will you be reaching a wide and diverse audience but your search engine page rank should increase because of the links on each and every page for the hurricane season you sponsor. When you purchase an ad package you will receive a 160x160 pixel ad on the left side of every single page for the season you sponsor. You specify the URL you want visitors to go to when they click on your ad. We currently keep any particular hurricane season's pages up for three years so that anyone searching back to previous years will still see your advertisement. It's been said that to make money, you have to spend money. One of the ways we insure that your ad will be seen by the widest possible audience is with pay per click search advertising. We use Google AdWords to increase the number of potential visitors dramatically. We average about 2000 impressions a day on the Google network during any given storm. The price of sponsorship varies depending on when you purchase, and the remaining time of the current hurricane season. You would be buying advertising from the purchase date until November 30th, which is the end of hurricane season. Anything purchased before June 1st is free, and you would be buying June through November at the prescribed rate. The rate is $10.00 USD per month if you purchase by April 15th of that year. Rates increase to $15.00 USD per month up to and including June 15th. After June 15th you would pay $20.00 USD per month for the remaining hurricane season. Because of our low rates we cannot bill you on a monthly basis. When purchasing ads the full season will have to be paid for at the time of purchase. The 468x60 pixel banner ads that rotate at the top of each page are $10.00 USD per month. If you're on a limited budget this could be a way to get your name out without a large commitment. These ads will rotate here, on www.searchnc.com, any other web sites we own and any we park. We reserve the right to reject any advertisement or link that we deem offensive, pornographic, obscene, hateful, sexual in nature or otherwise inappropriate.
